I have recently read about the CSIRO diet started in Australia, makes a change from USA, knowing how down to earth most Australians I have met are I thought I would give this diet a go. Has anyone tried or is trying it and how succesful are they finding it. It looks sensible and does not contain any weird foods or diificult to get hold of ingredients like some diets out there. Any info would be gratly received. Thanks Julie

Apparently it is a high protein low fat diet and is the latest diet in Australia.

Go for it Julie! I've asked Amanda Ursell, The Times nutritionist about it and this is what she says:
"It was published in the UK a few years ago - very sensible, slightly higher in protein than normal healthy eating combined with low GI - very good plan."
