Hi - I would love to test drive a new diet book - as long as it's suitable for vegetarians. Could be just what I need as I'm floundering at the moment.

As there are so many of you, and we have about 10 books, I will try and get duplicates of the ones we have, and send them out to you shortly. Not everyone will be included in the article, but will at least get a free diet book!

Hi. Have just signed up to the health club today. As I'm at an all time heaviest weight I'd love to kick start my weight loss by having a specific diet to trial. Count me in if any books still on offer!

Hopefully I'm not too late, i've stalled a bit recently but am now hoping to get back on track and i'd find this interesting. It would be good to find a diet book that catered for vegetarians

I would also be interested although I realise I am a bit late registering! The idea of no cheating sounds geat. I am not sure if I am suitable though as I find diet books a real challenge as I need to avoid dairy (specifically from cows), wheat and eggs. On the other hand there are lots of people that need to avoid one or all of these so maybe it would be a good test of a book!

Hi Karen - I got the low GI diet book which is getting me back on track as after an initial flurry of weight loss in January, I'd slipped off the wagon a bit (a lot!). What's the Bikini Bootcamp diet all about?

Hi Ferry Girl
Nice to talk to you.
Well it is hard work!!
I have survied the 3rd day just. It is very intense circuit training work and people are supposed to do 2 reps of the circuit and a core workout too. Have realised I can only do one circuit and today just could not core so will do it later today.
My muscles are aching all over and have felt exhausted but the plus side I can see definition already so it must be doing me some good tee hee gasp...
The menu plan is work-intense as it provides recipes and I thought I would miss carbs but can honestly say I do not - I am amazed:up:

Karen - Goodness! I got off really lightly then. But I suspect my results aren't going to be so fast. I have to weigh and measure tomorrow so keep your fingers crossed ...

Pleased to report -4lbs. So far am enjoying the book and regime. Recipes so far are tasty and filling. Pretty easy to prepare too; which is really important as I am so short of time every day. As for the exercise; well......................
Will try harder to fit it in, tho' goodness knows where!

Simon, which book have you got?
I have got the Juicing Diet Book (title similar to that) where you live on different smoothies for a week. I haven't started it yet due to hectic end of term but intend to get going when I get back from holiday. Don't know how I'll cope without my porridge in the morning though, and the shopping list is really long for the week's diet. Need to get a juicer as well but that is a good lifestyle choice - the kids and I can have fun experimenting!!

It's called; 'Slim Secrets - How to eat as MUCH as you LIKE and STILL LOSE WEIGHT', by Anita Bean.
Lots of info on the psychology of successful weight loss, exercise routines and a 28 day eating plan.
As with everybody, I would imagine, the tough bit is integrating it with feeding the family. 3 teenagers that seem to think that anything other than pizza, chinese or sausages is, "Eeeeew! Gross!!" does not help.
LOL
I know we are not supposed to cheat while trying these books, but I believe a certain amount of modification, within the guidelines of the book, is almost inevitable.
Anyway, like I said, so far, so good.

You have to Simon, otherwise how would you get around eating at work, or if you were out. There's no way I can have some of the lunches at work, can't even get some of the unusual ingredients so have to swap things around a bit.

Hi everyone
I agree with Onslow I modified my 'diet' yesterday as life does get in the way of any regime.
Today life has happened and I needed to support someone so am behind with my plans. I know I will exercise as it is making me feel fab but it will later and not in the order as suggested in the book ha ha

hi everyone
I've lost three lb on my first week of the low GI diet - hurrah!
But as you say, life gets in the way and I have a weekend lined up with family and friends where the food and wine is likely to be flowing.
Hey, you only live once and I'll get back on track on Monday!!
