I wish! I&amp;#039;ve heard of a couple of lads who went off cycling round the world, having taken extreme measures to reduce the amount they were carrying - even down to drilling out the centres of the handles of their toothbrushes!

As a constant traveller and therefore packer for 30 years, just one piece of advice:

Put out everything you think you need to take -  put half of it away - then pack 50% of what is left!!   You will probably still pack too much stuff!!

This is a case when less is definitely more!!

Correct!!

Taken at 70mm.

The one on the right was taken with the lens set at 18mm.  Just imagine the difference in a portrait photo. It becomes more pronounced, the larger the subject!

Next time you are having a picture taken, make sure the lens is set to the correct setting and tell the person to &amp;#039;move their behind&amp;#039; to get the photo right, not zoom the lens!!

Nothing too sinister!

At the time I had lost 5stone 2lbs and the worst was, he had me holding the scales up by my face &amp;#039;squeezing&amp;#039; them to show 5 Stone 2lbs.  Have you any idea how much finger tip pressure that took???!!! And then he wanted me to smile too!!  I must have ended up looking &amp;#039;constipated&amp;#039; as they did not use that one!!

I take your point, but so often people put up a less-than-flattering photo of themselves because they don&amp;#039;t believe they&amp;#039;re photogenic.
