I know you shouldn't go food shopping when hungry - but I went straight from the gym - feeling all smug I'd worked hard, hair still wet, I found it impossible to put anything fattening in my basket, it just would have made the last 2 hours (and my precious morning off) pointless.
Mind you if I only went shopping after the gym i'd starve and definiately lose weight as I don't go regular enough - but its my dieting tip!!

Great tip!

I go to the gym before I eat lunch -- it usually makes me feel glowing and virtuous, and hungry enough that a wholemeal pitta bread with ham and lettuce seems incredibly appetising

Did the shopping after the gym last night - really works! Poor hubby was drooling at some puddings, I was horrified that one pudding (fruit crumble thought that would be vaguely healthy!) was over 300 calories a portion! That would be a mad half hour on the cross trainer to use that up! Most puddings were 500 calories a portion, really would have undone all the hard work. couold go with out the mainmeal I suppose and just have pud

I generally shop after the gym, more because of a time factor, I tend to never break and buy anything other than whats on my list, the worse part for me is having any kind of temptations in the house! I think the nibles from christmas are just about finished, try and use them as the odd treat
