Weight does fluctuate and we need to accept that.  The biggest problems is if our weight increases we tend to get a little upset about it.

I try to eat the same amount of cornflakes every day - I know the actual amount probably fluctuates a little but I dont make a big deal of it.

We should do the same about our weight - if we have done anything to suggest it should be moving up (yet it does) lets not get too upset. I do Weightwatchers online, so I log my weight once a week. I also log it on here at the same time. However, I sometimes weigh myself midweek as well, maybe if I didn&amp;#039;t lose much the previous week. And if I don&amp;#039;t like what I see on a Saturday morning, I weigh again on a Sunday!

You need to accept the fact that weight fluctuates - and deal with it (kindly).  Then you are on the road to success.  
Look at your progress weekly - then decide if you need to make minor adjustments to go in the right direction.  Never aim big.  Half a pound a week is still approximately 2 stone at the end of the year and easily achievable.

About a year and a half ago a got a personal trainer who persuaded me not to weigh more than once every 6 weeks or so, for all the right reasons. I weigh daily or at least 3 or 4 times a week, ALWAYS wearing the same (which is NOT a lot) after first convenience break but before breakfast. I only RECORD 1 weekly weight (Monday morning.)

weekly weighing is ample, daily or mmore often is bordering on obsessive and will not do you any favours.
