I am on enzitimbe as an alternative to simvastatin anyone out there know how effective this is as my cholesterol is quite high. I know that it works differently to simvastatin but no idea how effective.

I think ezetimibe is second line if you cannot tolerate statins or aren't getting results from increasing statin dose and are at risk of side effects. Presumably this is why you are on it. Not sure of comparison between the two but think statins may win.
