No mention of anyone having seen Mama Mia yet! We went with friends and it was ab fab! Laughed so much at Julie Walters and Pierce Bosnan, it was a real tonic! Never realised that I knew so many words to the songs!

..... but Pierce Brosnan terrible. Everyone laughed when he started singing !

I remember Alison saying the above. Booked tickets for it on Saturday - I guess I'll be waiting in anticipation to Pierced Ear's singing!!

Just come in from the stage show - totally brilliant - and haven't seen the film, but will be asap! My niece and I are singing out the songs, but I was always a "soupertrouper"...

Wow - we must have nearly walked past each other - we were in London for my birthday and went to Chicago.

Me thinks you got home a lot quicker than we did - there was a lorry stuck in the single lane of the roadworks on the M1 and we average less than 30 miles an hour back to Northampton. Got in a about 2.15 this morning!

Oh goodness, poor you!... Yes, one of the benefits of the Flat in London, 15 minute walk. Only variable is the pair of shoes am wearing, and last night it was very sensible flats!

Love Chicago also - can sing a fair number from that show too... Sing, in the loosest possible term.... Was Suzanne Shaw in it? Bet she'd be a good Roxy.

Saw the film week last Saturday and loved it. The friend I was with was fairly critical but I just thought it was a real feel good movie and am now trying to find all my old Abba 'tapes'.

Went see Mama Mia with my daughter, the Sunday morning before last - the height of decadence, a Sunday morning film!! We both loved it too.

Went to see Will Smith in Hancock this week but I really can't recommend that, not my cup of tea. How about a film/theatre thread??

Saw MM last night and I'm with Frances' friend - it was a piece of light hearted rubbish, nice scenery, stoopid story line with some toe curling voices (the audience did laugh at 'James Bond' singing!!)
Want to see Jersey Boys and daughter is desperate to see Wicked. Anyone seen these shows?

Seen Wicked at daughter's suggestion (she's seen it twice) and was delighted by it. Well worth a visit. Not seen Jersey Boys yet but would like to.

Wicked is absolutely brilliant, very clever twist on Wizard of Oz. Went with my husband, Pete, another niece (18 at the time) and Pete's daughter (23 at the time). We all loved it.

Haven't seen Jersey Boys, but it is on my list having heard very good things about it.

Just booked to see Wicked next week.
It's Kid's Week until end of August which means a child 5-16 goes free with a full paying adult to almost all the West End shows.
Now all I need is a 5-16 year old!!
