How can I change the name that comes up when I appear on the group or forum. I would rather not have my full name to appear but I would like a different user name. Any suggestions please. thanks

You can click on Home (above) and then choose "About Me"; on the right hand side it gives you the option to change your name, password etc.

Hi MCH I tried that. (Change start weight or name) but everytime I try and change my name "full name" is highlighted but it wont let me change my name. (tried a few in case the one I had put down had already been used) Or I being totally stupid and should I be looking somewhere else????

Hm, in that case I'm not sure - it worked for me (my name was appearing as Michelle Hart before I replied to you and I changed it to make sure I could!) - think you might have to wait till one of the Times ppl sees your post, or contact them via the Help page. Sorry

If you put this post on the 'Website errors' forum, someone from The Times Online crew will come and help.

I changed my name and then wanted to change it again and wouldn't allow me to. No use posting comments on 'website errors' - very few of those comments have been answered. emailed Times and got some automated answer on how to change name, it was obvious no human had read it. Someone did reply again today with some questions specifically about the problem so I'm waiting for their advice. Will let you know what happens.
Good luck
Emm
(you can see why I want to change name, thought it was funny at first!)

I was wondering about the same thing. Looks like you have to have two words for it to update your name. When I entered in Lainski it didn't work.

Hmmm... no, it won't let me. All that happens is that "full name" is highlighted in red, blinks at me and that's it. I really did want to change it back to show my real name!

Times e-mailed me back when I questioned this - you can only change your name once. Better being a Berale than a Goesona!!

Ah, that explains it. Thanks. (and who cares if you go on a bit - it just means you've got something to say!)
