Hi Looby,

Thanks for your message...the motivator reports are working on a 7 day cycle so depending on when they asked you to motivate them the report will be sent 7 days after. I know the technical team did delay the large amount of messages in the first batch to buffer the volume...we'll look into it and you should be receiving something shortly. Thanks.

Sorry things have been mad at work. Things have been going well although Tuesday was not a ghood day as I went into the old habit of eating because I was bored and fed up. the only positive was I was actually eating things that are not going to do me too much harm e.g. tuna, cottage cheese etc. But I was disappointed in myself. I weighed myself on Monday and had gone down to 10 stone dead which is a loss of 10lbs since starting in the Health Club. I am going to the gym 4 times per week for about 90 mins but that is about all the exercise I can fit into my life. I am pleased to say I am thinking about food etc more in the right way than I have before. So overall happy with how things are going but sorry Wedensday was such a bad day.

stefka - a loss of 10lbs since joining, that's brilliant - well done.

plus 4 x 90 mins exercise i should think that's more than most people do no wonder you are doing so well.

just don't overdo things so that you get fed up will you? slowly and achievable is the best way and a loss of 1lb per week is great - it soon adds up to a stone.

wishing you continued success

Hi Looby...could you confirm when you asked them to be your motivator? We're looking into it and can confirm the schedule should be every 7 days since you started and the motivators began motivating you. We'll post back to confirm ASAP.

Similar problems.

Only one of my three requested motivators has received the email that is supposed to have gone out, and he hasn't yet received any reports. I joined him up the day after I joined (9 January?).

I'm thinking of abandoning the automated motivator mailings and sending out a weekly email instead.

I hope this problem can be fixed soon.

My motivator hasn't received any reports either.
She got an email from the club, clicked on the link and filled in the minimum boxes (she doesn't actually want to be a full member), and she shows up on my page as 'Active' - but she hasn't had any reports on my progress!
Does anyone know of any motivators who have received reports?

The same for me - none of my Motivators have received any progress reports (and I have signed on about four weeks ago) - actually, two never even got the request to be a Motivator, despite my re-sending it several times, so I gave up with them.

Nor have I recieved any reports about a friend whose Motivator I am - in fact, I can't even find her on the system. I've tried finding her by typing in her full name, but it doesn't show her; if I look under the appropriate letter of the alphabet, there are 87 pages of people whose name begin with the same letter. I've also tried under her User name, and there are 132 pages under that letter! Sorry, motivated as I am, I don't have the time or the patience to look for her. We've resorted to exchanging e-mails instead.

Can't The Times sort this problem out?

Bringing this up top again at the request of my motivator.

Every week I get an email saying a report will shortly be sent to my motivator about my progress, and to make sure my logs are up to dat.

But my motivator never receives any progress reports.

She can see my records if she logs in, and can leave me messages, but she's not getting the regular updates. Does anyone know if other motivators are getting the reports OK?

We're both getting a bit fed up.

Took me a bit of time to work it out Elspeth - like a lot of things on this website it's trial and error because the instructions are few and far between.

Go to your own Profile Page, and used the "Add a Comment" box to type in your report/message to motivators. Before you send it decide whether you want it to be visible or invisible to other THC members. You may also get option at this point to add it to your motivator's report - tick this box and click on submit. If you don't get the option at this point, wait for your comment to appear on your profile page and then click on box next to the "Attach to this week's Motivator Report" - I normally then refresh the page to make sure this box is ticked.

Does that help?

Thank, Jackie - we'll see! I followed your instructions, and the comment now appears on my profile page - but under the boxes you can tick it says' report to be sent on Thursday 1st January'

Uou're right that it's not working Elspeth. My reports haven't gone for past three weeks. For the first two I thought it was because I didn't write them until the Tuesday morning. But this week, I wrote my report on the Monday, ticked that they should be sent to my motivator and it showed that it would go on 6 May. But today, it's showing that it will be sent on 13 May.

Times IT people - can you check into this please. It has been working for me, but it's now stopped....

I have tried to contact my motivator this week for the first time through the reminder thing about contact your motivator. i wrote her an honest message about my frustration in not losing any weight and when i went to send it nothing happened. At the bottom of the page where it often says 'done' when a sit is found it just said 'error on page' and persisted in doing this each time i logged out and re-typed it. no wonder people are not getting the reports.
I am trying to contact you Looby lou so I shall do it direct or through the weigh in postings though it is not quite the same. x

I also reported this problem (under a previous identity - I left but decided to come back) and got the automatic message saying they'll look into it, and then nothing. I'm afraid I'm not hugely impressed by the technical support on this site!

Under my previous identity here, I had three people signed up as motivators, who had only bothered to sign up here because I'd asked them to. I kept getting the weekly emails telling me to update my stats as my motivators will be getting their weekly update soon, I kept updating everything, I put a comment on my profile and ticked the box to have it included in the motivators' report, and all for nothing.

Now I'm just logging my weight changes and not bothering with all the rest.

Times Health Club support people - I believe you are aware there is a problem with motivators reports, although there seem to be two different problems being reported. But it would be good to have an acknowledgement that you are aware of the problem and an update of when it might be resolved. With no feedback, it leads to people becoming disgruntled. If we try to email you we get back some automated reply which doesn't address the problem. If we post details here, it seems to be ignored.

So please please just say something here so that we know you are listening . Otherwise, you will find people stop using the Club, or stop using features....
