I tried to set a new target date of 31/12/08 - but the message I get is invalid time. But if I set the date to 12/31/08 (American format) then its accepted.

As I asked why ?

Any update on this ?

Help - THC has stopped sending me emails letting me know when I have messages, contact requests, water bottles etc. I am pretty certain this dates from when I changed my email address. Updated to new address in my profile, but no longer get emails. I do however still receive emails reminding me to do a report for my motivators, and to check out people for whom I am acting as motivator.

I've never had an e-mail like that from the thc since I joined. Did I miss something out on the set up.

Nor am I receiving emails on threads to which I am subscribed letting me know that a message has been added to the thread. Everything was working fine until I amended my email address

Don't know Jackie - it's nine months since I registered and can't remember that far back! Hopefully someone from Times will read this soon and get back to us.

Hello THC. My computer's adjusted itself to GMT but my posts are coming up with the wrong time - can you put the website onto GMT please?

I'm not prepared to move to The Azores like Emm!

It's not an error as such, but a question - is there any way to rename a forum thread?

Em - I notice that you are still watching this thread. Not had any response to my posting of error on 13 October (see above) - namely that since I changed my email address, I no longer receive emails from THC letting me know that I have messages, water bottles and contact requests. Nor am I receiving emails to threads to which I am subscribed to let me know there is a new posting. Can you acknowledge that you hve read this

I was also surprised to find, having selected a user-name (albeit a bit silly), that my posts appear under my full name. What else from my dutiful form-filling has become public? I'm not especially shy, but I'd really rather choose to whom and when I disclose my full name, age, goals etc, especially as I am a teacher.

How can I now change the name that appears?

You can change your display name if you want by going into your home page and selecting the About Me tab. On the right hand side under the "A little about me" box is "Name and starting weight". You can select change and then put a different name in. This should change any posts you have already made as well as any new ones. This page also enables you to check your privacy options for who can see what information about you, that bit is on the left hand side in the "The Times Health Club Options" box.

Sara, the username is what you log in with, and is what appears when someone quotes you. We haev asked THC to change this as many people use their real name as their user name.

Go to "Home" where there is a yellowish box called "The Times Health Club Options" Click on the first link to change your privacy settings. This includes concealing your actual weight from everyone.

On the right you'll see a list of things you can change - the first one is "name and starting weight", where you can change your "screen name" (i.e. Sara Lewis). Beware though - you can only change it once. If you try to change it again in the future it will be blank for evermore!

Good luck! Send me a message if there's anything else you're stuck with.

Fiona

... BTW you've already got your privacy set so no-one can see your profile page. The only thing anyone can see is posts you've made.

I find it very confusing when it quotes a different name when you quote omeone to the name they actually use - you have to remember who people are (especially as I tend to be quite visual so remember the pictures - not helpful when people change them) but then you have to remember their other name when they are quoted.

I thought the name that I used (Sparky67) would be the name I would post with, and was quite surprised to find my real name up there for all to see!

Hi All,

Many thanks for all the helpful suggestions. As you can see, I've successfully changed the name that appears on here, and it even did it retrospectively! Saira
