Help I'm a newbie plus not very good with the computer either. I joined on June 22 and have some questions. My first question is can I weigh my self once a week and my second question is I have no motivators so do I get them from this site.Please tell me anything else that may be important too.Thanks,bye for now.

You can weigh yourself as often as you like!

I'm not sure how you get a motivator. I haven't got any, but to be honest if you just post on the forums you'll get plenty of support. Ab Fab is brilliant.

Sound advice above from Ruth and Natalie. Do join Ab Fab. I think that Website support might have more to do with technical questions.

You can weigh yourself as often as motivates you, as Natalie says. I'm a daily weigher, but lots (most?) TTHC members only weigh once a week. On the Ab Fab forum, you'll find members have chosen a particular day and then share their successes and mishaps with others - if they want to. There must be at least one person weighing in just about every day.

Motivator-wise...

You can scroll down to the bottom of your home page, and on the bottom left you should see an area about motivators. It gives you the option to add a motivator and then offers a choice of a motivator of your own, or one of TTHC members. If you click on the latter, it will take you to a page where you could in theory view the names of all the members, I think. Anyway, most of the members will be on there. The members who have agreed to be motivators have a star to the right of their name. You can pick one - I imagine by clicking on the star. And then see what happens. I haven't done this myself, but do give it a try.

If you get stuck and you feel you really would like a specific motivator, you can always send me a contact message and I'll help out as best I can.

Hi Tracy, yes definitely join Ab Fab - it's got loads of discussions and we all report our losses (and gains!) but mainly losses. It's good fun and very addictive.

I'm a newbie too and I'm a bit confused about calories and kcal. If a noodle salad says it has 552 kcal in it, then does that mean 5520 calories? That seems like a lot!

And if it IS 5520 calories, then would I enter 5520 calories in my food intake? Or 552 kcal?

Oh thank god! I thought 5000 calories in a salad was a bit mad! nice pic by the way Emily C. What race are you running in? I did three half marathons a while back and am thinking of getting back into it...
