Has anyone got any before and after photos to show off?
I have one hideous photo of me on holiday over Christmas and I want to take another one of me in the same outfit, unfortunately it's at my parents so I'll have to wait until I visit them to get a piccy. But once I do I shall put the photos up!

I wish I had done a proper before photo, then could really see the difference. Anyways...

I was thinking that too Emily. I avoid being in front of the camera at all costs, consequently there are very few of me (sad when I'm gone and the kids can't remember what I look like - another reason to get slim so that I can solve that problem). But now I do wish I had just one 'Fat' photo as a point of reference. Perhaps I should take one now - I still have 5 stone to go.

Yes very naughty!!

Definitely take one now, why not? Think is a good way of seeing how far you've come as well as all the measurements. I look at the hideous photo and have definitely lost weight. It is an unflattering combination though - was when our luggage was lost in Miami and we had to buy some crappy clothes from K-Mart!!!

I'm definitely going to post my before and after photos once I get the outfit. E

It was difficult to get a photo that would really show a great comparison, as this outfit is simply AWFUL (from K mart or something) and is now going to be sent to the charity shop!! But was the only full body shot I have from before I lost the 20lbs. Having not worn it since Christmas time, felt awesomely loose!!!

Enjoy.

Emily, I love the new profile picture, really lovely. What a difference in that outfit. Your new figure makes the top look much more fashionable and you look younger!! You must be thrilled. You must stick these 2 pics in a prominent place to stop you putting the weight back on. I'll have to do something similar!

Woo look at you! I think you should keep the outfit as a reminder of how well you've done. You look lovely Emily!

I'm convinced that extra weight puts years on most of us. I was at a friend's wedding yesterday and his Mum said she didn't recognise me. I said something non-commital about having long hair now, but the reality is when I was 17.5 stone last time she saw me around 6 years ago, I probably looked about the same age as her

I hate this one of me - my face looks fat. by spare tyres huge, my thighs like Californinan Redwoods. It was 2 years ago and since then have lost 1 1/2 stone.

This 'now'picture, at the Moonwalk shows not only a slightly smaller me, but a girl who found the confidence to move and exercise, and as a result to feel proud of herself for once!

Don't see me ever joining in on this, Emily, as I always run a mile when I see a camera.

Sue that is truly awful - I wouldn't have recognised you in that photo. You are far better-looking than that now - even after walking 26 miles!

Well hopefully as you gain confidence as you lose weight/feel healthier this might change? I was hiding behind my profile photo as a 7 year old until yesterday!! Wouldn't have dreamt of showing the before photo of me to anyone, but now at least can say that isn't me anymore!

Sue and Emily - that's really impressive. And Sue is looking so happy now compared with the camping photo.

I messed up posting my photos, so have deleted them and will try in message below...

Good grief these before and after photos are truelly inspiring - I wish I had had the guts to have a photo of me when i started, as I said before it's a brilliant point of reference and also a great way to stop oneself going back in that direction.

Well done losers.

That's the truth!!

Hi Emm. Enjoying your vacation?

Must ask if you know New York well enough to know of Katz's Delicatessen? It's a proper kosher Deli in the Garment District. Off the beaten track for most tourists, but truly worth a visit for lunch!! Any 'Cabbie' worth his salt will know of it.

It's the only place I have ever been where you can select the salami 'aged' as you like it, from freshly made to wrinkled, shrivelled and dry enough to have been disinterrred from King Tut's tomb!! The waiting staff are real New Yorkers, brusque and gruff almost to the point of rudeness, it is loud and crowded and watching the guys behind the counter is an education in itself!! It's brilliant!! Try it you may like it. Their 'Rueben on rye' sandwich is to die for!! They also have phenomenal selection of salads.

I have heard that it has become more widely known over the last few years, so may not be as it was when I used to visit, but hopefully the character has not changed too much!

Hope you are enjoying the 'Big Apple', I used to love visiting, but definitely would not wanna live there!

Apologies to all for getting 'off topic'

These photos are amazing, and I am truly inspired by you all.... Not just because of there being less of you all, but the confidence that seems to show in the "after" ones.

I will have to find something that compares, when I have more time...

Totally! What I adore in Sue and Simon's photos is the look of misery in the 'before' shot (no offence guys!), and the happy, glowing grins on the 'after' shot
